Jessica Sinisi
Artist in Residence
Jessica Sinisi is a teacher in the Bethpage School District, where she has taught for the past thirteen years. Currently, Ms. Sinisi teaches elementary band and orchestra and serves as the vocal director for the high school theater department. Ms. Sinisi received her Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education from the Hofstra University Honors College and her Masters of Music Degree from SUNY Stony Brook.
Ms. Sinisi maintains a private studio and has performed with the Massapequa Philharmonic Orchestra, the Long Island Wind Ensemble, and has performed in numerous pit orchestras both at the John W. Engeman Theater and in theaters across New York. An active member of the Nassau Music Educators Association, Ms. Sinisi was the chairperson for the Nassau All-County Division IV Band and also served as the secondary chairperson for the Long Island String Festival Association for several years.
Ms. Sinisi is a proud alumna of the Nassau-Suffolk Concert Band and Wind Symphony and performs in the Nassau Suffolk Alumni Band. Ms. Sinisi has toured Hawaii with the Nassau Suffolk Vocal Jazz Ensemble and worked for several years as the Vocal Jazz sound technician. Ms. Sinisi currently serves as an artist in residence for the Youth Band, Honor Band, and Youth Jazz Band.
