Gina Pellettiere

Gina Pellettiere is the Farmingdale High School Director of Bands. On the field Ms. Pellettiere's responsibilities include the Marching Band and Dalerette kickline. In her ten years at Farmingdale Ms. Pellettiere has grown the Pep Band to 100 students and the Marching Band to 280 students whose signature drill spells something significant for each year's half time show. Ms. Pellettiere directs the Jazz Band as well as the NYSSMA Level VI Wind Ensemble which performs at the NYSSMA Majors Organization festival annually. Under Ms. Pellettiere's direction, the Wind Ensemble has earned ratings of Gold and more frequently Gold with Distinction.

Ms. Pellettiere earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education and Master of Arts Degree in Wind Conducting from Hofstra University where she studied with Dr. Peter Loel Boonshaft. She is an active member of NYSSMA, NMEA and NAfME. In addition, Ms. Pellettiere was the chairperson of the Nassau All County Division V Symphonic Band for several years, is a member of the Newsday Marching Band Festival Committee, and has been an annual participant with her students in Tuba Christmas at Rockefeller Center.
